Masandi, aka Sandile Mfusi, is all set to join Season 8 of the popular television soap opera Uzalo. The Soul Musician’s addition will bring in a new zeal to the SAFTA, best soap opera-winning production, and is all set to start from April 2022.
Masandi will play ‘Kwanda Buthelezi’, a charming drug lord meant to lure Nonka into a tricky web, concealing his subterranean needs.
Sandile Mfusi’s TV debut is not new to the entertainment industry, as he already gathered a lot of accolades with his performance in The River and Isibaya.
“This is a tremendous breakthrough in my career and I am super excited and happy to get the opportunity,” added Masandi, through a social media announcement made on Tuesday by Mzansi Screens.
In prior weeks of this year, the ‘Amagate’ hitmaker cruised to the number 1 spot on Gagasi FM’s afro-pop charts and is scheduled to release his next single titled ‘Noma Kunzima’ on March 25th of this year.
